think the Pakistani government is collaborating with the US government, but I wasn't referring to Pakistan as you well know. At any rate, the *point* was that another government going along with the US party line makes absolutely no difference as to what the truth of the matter is.

If you disagree with the analysis, say so, and why, and drop the snide remarks. You act as if I'm saying nothing should happen to Newsweek, which is simply untrue. I'm just not sure at this point how much of the blame for the violence they deserve, and what would be a proper response. And I'm curious why you think Newsweek and Newsweek alone can be blamed for those deaths, and what do you think should be done to the author et al. I'm also curious why you're so much harder on a magazine than on the government, whose ability to do harm and consequently whose responsibility to get it right is so much greater.
