"We know that there was stuff then,"
Yes, we do know that there was some stuff then.
"..we know that there is stuff now.."
Yes, we know that there is a WHOLE LOT of stuff now.
"we know that there were steps along the way"
That's the problem. We don't have enough data points to know that (and probably never will). There's millions of species of living things on the planet today (actually, probably billions or trillions). In fact, each individual human alive today is a potential, unique link to some evolved human-like species in the future (if evolution is correct). So of the trillion of paths from the 'stuff then' to the 'stuff now' (most of which lost to Darwinism), how many paths do we have enough data to link point to point? Have we ever been able to replicate 'evolution' in a laboratory? Have we ever been able to use 'evolution' to predicate the past existence of a specific species and/or trait that was initially unknown, that we then were able to go out and find, precisely as we had predicted?
Those are the questions that make up sound science and scientific theory. And there's aspects of 'evolution' that don't stack up well with them.
AFA god goes...
Again, I have no clue what god did or did not do. And in my experience, trying to apply scientific thought or logic to religion is pretty much a waste of time. Which is why I'm not discussing 'Intelligent Design' right now (I'm doing this in between work breaks, and waste time isn't in the cards)
I'm discussing 'evolution'. |
