A friend of mine was once out of town on a business trip. One of his co-workers asked him if he'd like to go with him and some of the other guys to a local bar. Now this co-worker was also a baptist minister in his spare time and explains that he doesn't drink, but the reason he's going is that the place also has really good food. He also says that my friend is welcome to drink and that several of the co-workers would be as well, so he wouldn't be drinking alone. Having nothing better to do, he accepts. So after work the co-worker/minister picks up my friend and drives to the bar. On the way he says that he forgot to mention that a couple of his friends would be joining them and hopes my friend doesn't mind. Not a problem, the more the merrier my friend replies. They get to the bar and find some tables and the co-worker/minister says, I should have told you, my friends are a catholic priest and a rabbi, I hope you don't mind. It's right then that they enter the bar.
So there sits my friend, thinking to himself, "so a minister a priest and a rabbi walk into a bar"....
True story, I swear. IIRC, it happened in Jacksonville Florida while he was working on an airport project. |
