It is not appropriate in grade school to present all scientific theories in any subject. It is only appropriate to present the currently prevailing theory, as supported by the process of peer review. I know that currently the Bush administration is trying to sabotage this process by appointing underqualified 'scientists' to administrative positions where their politically correct views will lend some validity to bad science. And it is understandable that schools want to lend their support to this process as well - they know where funding comes from. But that doesn't make bad science any better. It just lies about it and passes it off as good science. And the whole rest of the world has a good laugh...
