As for the designer, the theory doesn't pretend to say.

It simply says that based on the math involved, it's highly improbable there wasn't a designer involved in the process.

As for having to "prove aliens" I most certainly do not.

In the scope of ID, there can be any number of possible designers. There could even be a god that is not the God of the Bible.

ID at this point isn't concerned with identifying the designer. It's concerned with finding some mathematical fingerprints and going "uh, guys I hate to say it but maybe the current worldview is wrong. Let's look at this further."

And that's all it says.
