| Al Queda terrorist joke |

2 Al Queda terrorists have managed to steal a fighter jet. While they were infiltrating the air base, their comrades were building a runway at their secret training facility in the desert. The 2 terrorists are now praying that the runway is done and is long enough for them to land.
As they are making their approach, the navigator is looking at the airspeed and contemplating how much runway they have. He tells the pilot that they are coming in too fast, so the pilot sets the flaps to 5° and eases back on the throttle. A few minutes later, the navigator tells the pilot that they are STILL going too fast. The pilot sets 10° flaps and eases back some more on the throttle. A few minutes later the navigator is sweating and starting to panic. He shouts at the pilot that they are still going way too fast. The pilot sets the flaps to the full 30° and throttles back to just above stall speed. He's fighting the stick to maintain control, and just as they touch down, he sets full brakes, full thrust reversal and punches the throttle. The aircraft screeches to a halt just as the nose gear *THUMPS* off the end of the runway.
The other terrorists at the training camp go nuts, shooting their AK-47s into the air, but the pilot and navigator are just happy to be on the ground in one piece. They jump out of the cockpit and kiss the ground. The pilot tells the navigator, "Allah be praised, it's a miracle! This is the SHORTEST runway I've EVER landed on!"
The navigator nods in agreement, looks around, and says, "It's also very wide." |
