because I think it's a stupid way to try to officially pretend like the vote from the West always counts in determining the next government. It may in the next election, and it did in the last, but it doesn't always. Why pretend like it does?
I find it terribly insulting when I go out to vote, turn on my tv at 8PM to hear "Welcome to our viewers in Saskatchewan. The Liberal government has taken it again. We'll see how you voted later." I'd much rather have heard the count all along than to get slapped with the final decision on the first bit of coverage I can get.
Which reminds me, what happens with Satellite signals on federal election days? I know my dad gets TV from Halifax, Toronto, Vancouver, etc, etc. Do they do anything to block their reporting to the west? |
