Happy Bunny(tm), countless bumper stickers, and just about anything on the Comedy Channel(tm).
One of my favorite cartoons of all time is of Moses facing the stone tablets on Sinai as the finger of God carves the words "Think for yourself, Shmuck!" into them. Offensive? To some people, certainly. But I still think it's an utterly hilarious statement on the human condition in regards to religion. And it, too, is a single-sided critique which churches don't get the chance to answer except by publishing their own, single-sided, responses. |
