This is a warning that should be put on all Bibles by Bellator2006-11-19 12:55:59

if you've done a close reading you'll know that one of the critical things in the bible is to examine one's faith, and come to it yourself, and that you will be tested and should act appropreiately.

to not be able to take criticism of ones religion is to turn a blind eye to it. yes, christians have done a LOT of naughty things in god's name. that does not make my beleif any less, or directly give me responsibility for the sins of others in it's name. but for me to deny that attrocities have been committed is to deny a part of my faith.

yes it's tasteless, but it's not inherently offensive, it's just brutally honest, and marginally misleading, as it presents the negative side of things.

if you can rationally think about and understand your religion, and have actually read the entire bible, you would realize that the content advisory is very accurate. a lot of people of various faiths and no faith want lables like that on CD's and movies, so why not a book.
