why yes, I believe it was. and a note to Kickstart by plblark 2005-05-17 07:04:22
Here's the issue with member moderators:
A Member can:
post inflamitory material
Troll within reason
Take controversial or unbendable stands
Get angry and respond in kind
When a Moderator, acting as a Member, does any of the above and then has to switch hats, there's a real problem of roles and percieved abuse of power. And it's the perception that's more important than the reality. Sucks but that's the way it is.

Kickstart, A comment on the state of things in general: Recently I've gotten the feeling that your posts are much more loaded and much more reactionary or extreme. There seems to be less and less understanding and compassion and virtually no middle ground on virtually ANY issue. On top of that, once you're set in your opinion it'd take the heavens parting and $Diety intervening to change your mind. This, IMnsHO, is NOT a good thing. When I find myself doing that (mostly when good friends comment that it's happening but occasionally from introspection) I take a break or try to be very conscious of it.

Perhaps it's just my perception. But perhaps there's at least a grain of truth in it...
