| A point would be defined as: a style in speech or writing that arrests attention and has a penetrating or convincing quality or effect.
What that comic has is just a mocking quality to a faith. Actually, it's totally irrelevant to the ideas of intelligent design. If God created everything, He also set into place boundries and laws of dynamics and the way things work here. Wouldn't it be logical that if a being was able to create complex life from nothing that that being would also be able to create/manipulate the laws that govern physics?
You don't have to believe it, but at least bring some intelligent debate into it. I personally believe that there is a God, and that He created everything. I also believe that he created the Earth with the illusions of age. Why? Because the woods, waters, and plants of the Earth would be full wrought when Man was created. I also believe that He set into motion an element of change in various species. This is a theory that a lot of Christians seem to not think about. The God that created the World would know that it would be changing. Climates shift, landscapes change. So it would make sense to me that He would design into it all an element of micro-evolotion, meaning a change or adaptation in a species to the changes of the environment.
So, then, my beliefs. Take them or not, I won't be around today to defend them. I'll be going around to the schools in the district where I work setting up some technology previews for teachers... |
