    I had an opposite experience in a class by Jeff_UK 2005-05-16 18:37:41
the lecturer laughed off my suggestion, refused to listen to my opinion, and was extremely condescending.

Luckily the guys in my class know that I will not claim I am certain about _anything_ unless I have good solid first hand experience, and even then I normally provide a disclaimer. The funniest part was everyone warning the shiny new lecturer about arguing with Jeff.

Thinking about it, being the 'geek' in a CIS degree group is not necessarily a completely good thing :)

Jeff...

PS: Does CIS = Comuting Information Systems? (well, technically my degree will be C&IS, not sure which is better, yet =) )
