More likely I'd ignore the rolls completely. But I don't see what would speak against doing what you described. Incidentally, just today I did an online etiquette/conduct test. First result: My answer was missing from most questions, being "WTF do people care about such crap", followed by a brief period of being upset about the idiocy of our society, its many nonsensical rules (emphasis on nonsensical, not on rules) and the small minded people insisting in their upholding.
