Friday I got called on the boss' carpet because I hadn't loaded IIS on a developer's workstation - project is behind schedule, lost revenue, the whole works. I told boss it's against the rules to load IIS on a workstation, and besides, I don't have the install media (everything we get is on image files from our corp office). Boss asks what would it take to do anyway. I tell boss we need to get media kit and then it's an hour of install time (also not budgeted to project). She orders media kit. Today I get e-mail demanding justification of why we're ordering media kit and not using corp's image files. AAAARGH!
