ever got into a firefight with U.S. forces. And there have been numerous reports of prisoners being maltreated at Guantanamo Bay; enough unnamed sources to satisfy you. In fact, there are enough named sources to satisfy you. Not all the sources are detainees, either. Also, the lack of denial by the government is telling. And don't tell me that they are denying it — they're doing that implicitly, not explicity.
