| ...I recognize I should not tar all union workers with the same brush. My post was a bit of hyperbole mixed with bitterness regarding the abuses fostered by unions today.
I still recall the day when the Campbell government axed over 11,000 government workers. On CBC radio the next morning I heard phone call after phone call from laid off government staff whining and complaining how they had three kids, two car payments and a huge mortgage and how on earth are they going to survive? I tried calling in but the lines were busy. I was prepared to rant about how this is exactly what working in private industry is like all of the time, without the grandiose promise of "job security," a myth of a concept if there ever was one.
There are too many B.C.ers with the "gimme" mentality, no thanks to the NDP and their ridiculous labour laws. I want to see the NDP get crushed again tomorrow. |
