That is how it is started in the first place! Bacteria from your hands usually are the cullprits for pinkeye. That is what you get from not washing your hands before rubbing them into your eyes. You can clean your eyes to reduce the symptoms somewhat: Boil water, let it cool down, and clean your eyeballs with a clean cloth and the (cooled down) boiled water. Preferably some steril packaged 'bandage' (not sure how to call it). And go see the docter if it lasts. Antibiotics ususally cures it within in a week. Suffer from pink eye syndrome twice now. That is 3 times to many since one was a double infection.
