You can assume the thieves now have:
Your car registration information and, probably, drivers license number (mine is printed on my insurance info, which is also kept in the car)
Your home address, including your zip code (used for verifying credit card sales without a signature)
At least one credit card number (maybe not, but since there's a chance, you should err on the side of caution)
Some of your purchase history (they know your music tastes and grocery habits)-- good for doing the test-purchases before going all-out.
Depending on what state you live in, your social security number (in Missouri, the "show me" state, your SSN is your drivers license number-- "Show me how to steal my identity!")
Your car license plate number (also useful for fraud purposes)
With this information, they can pretty much steal a good portion of your identity and have quite a bit of fun at your expense! |
