Liberals are socially liberal and fiscally conservative (to a certain extent, it's more schizophrenic than anything else). NPD's are socially liberal and fiscally liberal. They tend to drag the Liberals to the left both socially and fiscally. Greens are interested only in the environment, hence do not have a social policy and don't have a coherent fiscal policy. Communists are fiscally liberal and don't have a coherent social policy. Bloc Quebecois are socially liberal but only interested in Quebec Separation and hence don't have a coherent fiscal policy beyond that. Be that as it may, they tend to vote with the Liberals while it suits their purposes. Conservatives/CRAP/Alliance/Reform/whatever-they're-called-this-week are socially conservative. Their fiscal policy is by-the-book supply-side Reaganomics. They tend to get dragged to the left by the NDP. Or in other words, all the other parties get blamed for having an NDP-style government.
