Illiways, the Café at the end of the UFieverse by krikkert2006-11-19 12:55:59
A slightly off-tone chime is heard... by bitflipper 2005-05-16 08:45:09
and a gentleman clad in flowing robes of somewhat clashing colors fades into view seated at one of the tables, accompanied by a large raven with feathers the color of polished jet. His eyes are a bit wild behind the bifocals perched at the end of his nose pince-nez style, and his thinning, greying, curly hair and copper-red beard are a bit dishevelled, suggesting a brush fire about to break out of control.

Mine host, an evil double ibarra mocha, laced with a touch of brandy, if you would be so kind. And, for my bonny familar, the entrails of a boss who brings me a $70k business case on a Friday evening and begs for it by Staff Meeting on Monday morning!

It's done, and being reviewed for submission to corporate at this very moment. But it hasn't been the most restful of weekends.

Ah, well... back to calibrating multi-meters and such. At least, until upper management is out of Staff and my boss brings me the changes he'll need by this afternoon.
There are days it simply does not pay to be an over-achiever.
