My brother has friends, currently living in england, who are buddhist monks from Thailand. A couple of years ago he was attending what sounds like a scout jamboree (SP?) with them. there were tents from all of the major religions, and talks from each of them every night.
The monks always had a high turnout, they were different to what most people know, they were wearing orange, and my brother had provided 4 crates of $WellKnownBrandOfCola which they were giving out. Every evening, the monk's tent was full of interested onlookers, and the christians had a very small 'congregation.'
For the last evening, the christians pulled out all of the stops, going around to everyone telling them the had to come, the audience was rather impressive. The christian organisers had finally 'beat' the buddhists and all had smug grins on their faces, until all of the monks, who had cancelled that evenings presentation, came in and sat in the back row.
