These are generic Mac troubleshooting steps; Zap the PRAM (CMD - Option - P and R when rebooting the computer, before the chime, you have to hear the chime 3 times before you let go of the keys) If that doesn't work then try powering down the laptop, remove the battery and the power adapter and leave sit for 10 or 15 minutes. See if that helps anything.
