Sue Brown (Pendragon ratteries - UK) once told me that they felt like holding willies, I don't agree and if I did I wouldn't admit it, but they do feel strange to hold.
They have a charm though, they will be a lot more huggy and want to stay close to you more than haired rats as they need the extra heat.
They suffer too much from health issues though (not as bad as Manx rats though), but if you were interested in the hairless idea then the double Rex would be a good and healthy substitute, they have peach fuzz hair :)
Anyway I'll shut up now, I'm making myself want to buy more rats.
