Most rats will hate water with a passion, and it really is not neccessary either, a simple wipe down with a warn moist flannel will do wonders and not turn them into raging lunatics. And afterwards cuddle up in front of the (fire,radiator,electric heater) with them in a nice warm fluffy towel and they will love you all the more. Eric P.S. If you have particulary dirty rats (like my skuzzy used to be) then a bath will have to be done every 3 or so months, but try and stretch out the time between bath times as long as you can.
