Choosing Hard Drives by dennismv2005-05-11 21:00:36
  I would recommend the 320 WDs on SATA. by nate_t_g 2006-11-19 12:55:59
WD drives are great drives with a good history of reliability. For the most "future-proof" investment, they should be SATA, and as large as possible (320). I would recommend the WD3200JB if you want a 320GB drive.

If you would be happy with a 250GB drive I just read a review by Toms Hardware about the newest Samsung Spinpoint drives, 250GB capacity (in both SATA and IDE), and they have some of the highest performance marks on the benchmarks. Check out the article.
