Christianity puts you above those types of behaviors, but that Christianity obligates you to recognize the potential for those behaviors within yourself, and guard against them. It may sound like the same thing, but the difference is that when you believe you are above those types of behaviors, you let your guard down and let them seep in. And you refuse to recognize that fact for your belief that you are above such things. That's what causes this type of behavior.
