A lot of young people start out with jobs like that. In a few years when an engineering firm is going over your resume, they will only note that you were working instead of sitting on the beach. That is considered a good sign (by employers, at least). I've sat on selection committees for years - I know. That being said, good luck in finding something more in accord with your interests. Gotta love those TimBits :)
