Virus software help by lookn4change2005-05-11 17:34:42
  Norton is alright. by Glytch78 2005-05-11 17:53:44
As far as i know it's still the leader. I haven't liked the '04 and '05 version though. They added adware and spyware scans and for whatever reason it really bulked up and takes up alot more ram then the old ver 2002.

There are some free scanners out there too. From what I've heard AVG (or some such) is popular. Have no idea if it's great or good.

Also housecall.trendmicro.com is a good place to go if the person doesn't want something running on their computer all the time. Although this is a stupid way to run if your scared of virus it's also time consuming because you can't set auto-scans.

I haven't liked McAfee for a long time, so I'm not allowed to give an opnion on them. From me it's hate hate hate... oops.
