Hey, Dippy; long time, no see by bitflipper 2005-05-11 16:58:22
Selfish it may be, but that need not mean it was motivated selfishly. Other, very powerful emotions are involved, here. Trin's sorting things out, and that's mighty hard to do, sometimes. I seriously doubt he thought "Krikert's feelings aren't as important as mine." More likely, the thought was just as Trin has stated: "If I don't do something now, I'll just keep hiding from the truth for more years to come." Under that kind of pressure, it's easy to move in the wrong direction, first.

"Selfish" would be if Trin doesn't move to correct the gaffe before it gets very serious.
