Question about soccer moms: by Esteis2005-05-11 14:52:03
The expression came from a US political campaign by mad_peter 2005-05-11 15:10:12
several years ago.
A soccer mom is a SUV driving idiot with one hand holding her cell phone and the other waving 'shut up' at her kids in the back seat. She doesn't care about anything but the safety and happiness of her precious spawn. She drives incredibly poorly and believes she owns the road by virtue of the size of her vehicle.
It's a stereotype, but I've very nearly been run into by far too many people who fit it to a T.
Needless to say, the politicians were pondering how best to cater to idiots like that.
