| As usual, the way things work with sheeple in the population is the swinging of the pendulum. The pendulum always spends most of its time in the extreme ends, and not nearly enough time in the middle where it bloody well should be.
So decades ago raping children was "hush hush" and everyone was scared to talk about it. That's the pendulum at one end. Now, society reacts by freaking out at the slightest suggestion (with NO evidence) of impropriety, and the pendulum swings over to the other end.
What we're catering to now is the self-absorbed society-owes-me my-child-can-do-no-wrong soccer moms and dads who scream and freak out and overprotect their kids so much that our next generation of adults is going to be largely made up of "gimme gimme" dorks. I fear for Western society, I really do.
