invisibility? by unjust2006-11-19 12:55:59

O-kay, so Wikinews is obviously going for the sensationalism of the words "transparency" and "invisibility", without looking into how Professor Engheta is using the terms. This isn't so much an "invisibility shield" as it is a very promising prospect of a high-speed optical switch. I could see something like this resulting in some very fast computational circuits much easier than in some semi-magical cloak of invisibility. It would be a "non-trivial" problem trying to get these plasmotics to behave stably at any size other than micron scales. Thanks for pointing out the link, Spudd86.
