A few years back, Bellator spent some time incarnated as a newt as a direct result of annoying one of the Wiccans who posted regularly (a charming woman; you won't hear me say a word against her*). It was during this time that he and Edgar first met. After a few initial social bobbles, Edgar came to appreciate some of the finer points of The Newt, and now apparently holds him in some high regard.
I'm never entirely certain what thoughts actually circulate in that oddly-shaped skull of his, but Edgar's figured out somewhere along the line that Bellator and The Newt are one and the same. He's always been a bit reticent about devouring newts and salamanders, but, these days, well... you can see...
