Okay, what am I forgetting?(Windows server/domain) by romandas 2005-05-11 07:26:29
One of my first tasks I'm trying to accomplish at my new job is renaming the built-in domain admin account and the local admin accounts on each box in my domain. I used the Computer Management MMC tool to connect to each box in turn and rename the account, then used the Small Business Admin Console to rename the domain account. However, the next morning (today) when I come in, all the accounts are reset to the original account name! The password mercifully remained changed to the new one, but the account names on every box reset themselves to the older name.

Can anyone explain this behaviour to me? It's been awhile since I had domain rights.. so maybe I'm forgetting something vital?

There isn't another domain controller either, so I'm pretty sure it's not replication from somewhere else.
