| tip off the INS. Seriously. The illegal workers and their families get deported back to $DIETY knows where. Never mind that it costs tax dollars to care for them while they await deportation. Never mind that they are working (presumably adding money to the local economy, and not being a burden to society).
Many of the illegals are doing jobs that the local people don't want to do for various reasons (it is "beneath them," doesn't pay enough, just plain disgusting). How many of theose alleged 30 jobs at P&G are "high paying" or even a "living wage"? When the positions were open, where were the 30 locals willing to do the job for what P&G was willing to pay?
Don't misunderstand me, I don't think we should allow illegals to stay in the country, but I have less a problem with the illegals who are contributing to society than I have with the welfare lifers who were born and raised here.
Now if the illegal is NOT working, that is a whole other story. |
