| been there, done that, refused to buy the XXL t-shirt. We had a bit higher traffic site running on one of their "entreprise" servers. We got the same mail and also were moved to quantz immediately, just because allegedly a perl script went havoc. During the seven days I repeatedly asked for proof ( Top Process%CPU 65.7/usr/bin/perl didn't say much ) to be able to figure our what was going wrong. The script had worked flawlessly for the last years. They refused to help us or show any evidence but were kind enough to offer us moving to their "Enterprise plan" - the one we already had. The seven days were over and after endless discussions with many different people who did not consider reading the previous mails we went for good. Leaving them went smooth though. They set up a tarball of the whole site for us to download, including mails, database dumps, etc. Though somehow I still get my nightly cronjob mailed by the server. Well, it's their CPU time, not mine ;) |
