pulling a large amount of data off DVDs thanks to the damed plextor controller throws a few more curses plextor's way for good measure needless to say that this is a quite boring process. and me here with nothing else I could really be doing at the same time as I have to babysit this blasted thing. I could almost play SMAC, except I don't think that'll run in windowed mode (too bad)
