What I did that finally killed it for you was to diable the secondary port settings inthe camera. Normally the web page itself is served over port 80, the video over port 8481. I had set both to port 80 - you were able to get video then. When I turned it off, you were no longer able to get the feed, but still had the 'static' image. The sure-fire way to disable it, short of literally pulling the plug, is to turn off it's switch port - which I am about to do.
