All time based. Takes time to go to the car repair shop, time to go to the UPS hub to pick up my package, etc.
It's under warranty or paid for already, so no extra money, just time. As a nearly-single guy, I have time. I just would prefer to spend it in hedonistic pursuit of personal entertainment rather than running errands all evening.
I'm such a selfish b@$t@rd sometimes. But my friends seem to be OK. They came over and watched a movie - the guy left me alone for 20 min or so with his ex-gf so she and I could talk a bit - she needs to talk. That was nice. I'm not sure about why this is happening, NoMB, after all, but I think I helped a bit just by listening.
As for my friend whose mom passed on - I have no idea. He is devastated - he lived with her and took care of her for as long as I have known him (since 86 or so). I'm sure he is having extreme 'dealing' issues.
I wish there were something I could do, but there really is nothing other than being here if he wants to call or write. |
