I.T. Contracts:: Being Sold + Taken advantage of by inittab2005-05-09 15:47:39

There was a written agreement. by inittab 2005-05-09 16:06:19
...which basicly said "you will do work for $RATE per hour", but
dosen't say anything about the conversation leading up to that where $CONTRACTOR told me that I was actually being given a better deal than the 60% that I had proposed earlier.

Effectively- I belive I was seriously mislead, into giving up over half of my reasonalble pay, before the paperwork was ever printed. I was basicly told: you will need to agree to $RATE, because "that's all there is"... we are already giving you a better deal than we should. But over a year later, I'm finding out that I've been deceived, and that the level of BILLING rate was mis-represented, so I would agree to lower pay.

THIS is the part of the discussion that I have the MOST objection to, and isn't in writing.

As for the $CLIENT... at this point, the contract os already over, so they are already out of the picture. The amount of money isn't going to change the the client either way - and they don't have any control over how it is distributed between $CONTRACTOR and $TECHIE(me).
