stuff in clear bags to where they can see it without having to open it. I learned the value of large clear ziplock baggies when a shampoo bottle blew out on me in a flight from Texas to Phoenix.... Bag full of shampoo...not a drop on my clothes and the baggage scan person even said thank you cause she didn't get covered in goop searching my bag.
