Why is everyone so afraid of dieing all the time.

XP doesn't win or lose the game. K/D ratios don't win the game. Doing everything you can to get to the objective (or helping an engineer to get there) is what wins the game.

I'm one of the better players on the server, take a look at my K/D ratio when I'm on the offence, it sucks (well in comparison to when I'm defense at least). Why? Because I'm running in shooting all the time. I don't get close half of the time but when you're attacking it only has to work once, 5 mad rushes have more chance of working once than one slow careful attack.
The only exception is when I'm a medic in which case I tend to be hanging back a bit more but will still run in front of 3 enemies in an attempt to revive someone. Yes it's often suicide but a medic can't win the map, an engineer can.

Same on XP. If it takes more than a second and it isn't needed by your team right now then don't do it. Worry about stopping the other side and the XP will build up fast enough on it's own.

OK rant over.
