My work computer is cooked. Finally. by farfalla 2005-05-09 14:15:09
The magic smoke has leaked out of my workstation. It was almost as old as the written word, so I'm not crying too much. We recovered the files, which is good. I got a lecture on the importance of backing up, which is expected in those situations. Now I'm waiting to have my new computer shipped here from a branch office on Saturn.

It's amazing, how hard it is to get through the day sitting in front of a blank monitor, wiggling the mouse and hoping for miracles...
