At least, I was allowed through wearing a "Good bush(picture of pubic hair)/Bad Bush(picture of president)" shirt and carrying my purse with the offensive buttons (I think you saw that...). This was the Heathrow->Detroit flight... dunno if it would have caused me problems going in the other direction. _{No, I wasn't trying to make trouble with security... that's just how I dress. TBH, I hadn't even thought about it until I saw your post today...}
