as best we can tell, the one all-dirt hill is the backstop, and the firing line is the path where all the shells are. This makes the distance to target at most 5 yards, which I'd be scared of considering how many breakable/shatterable things they're shooting at. I certanly don't want a chunk of computer monitor glass flying back at me at that range. As Marlin so eloquently put it, you have to walk out of the canyon to change your mind.
Fortunately, the real place we go to shoot up north is a nice flat area with a well defined backstop, and we generally just pick a firing line about 50-60 yards back which is well outside 150 yards to the road.
