The "Blog Revolution" is pure hype by Illiad2006-11-19 12:55:59

Shades of blind squirrels, acorns, and an infinite number of monkeys abound, my friend. Of course there are times when the mass media have been scooped by blogs -- considering the shear volume of noise generated by blogs, it's hardly surprising that one can find a real signal masked and mixed in every once in a while.

Still, you do have a point in that blogs allow the "common man" to be heard, and sometimes just as loudly as is the media machine. Whether or not that is a good thing, well... Let's just say that anyone who spends much time in contact with a keyboard has to develop good filters. I'll allow as, occasionally, there will pop up on a blog here or there an article that is worth the mental energy it takes to read. But I'm not counting such as the common case.
