Wouldn't that be the case in just about all conversations? Have you ever seen Jeff Foxworthy's comedy routine where he talks about some friend of his at the gym mentioning he (the friend) is getting a divorce? "Bummer, guy. Can you spot for me?" Setting the stereotypes aside, however, I do have to admit that most of the people -- although definitely not all -- I have encountered with truly masterful command of the language have been the sort who look much better in a skirt than I do. <g>
