I'm not going to use Perl to make my code simpler, even if it does take up less space.

But the idea translates (I think), and I thank you. Only problem is, .NET has soooo many ways of accessing data (with varying overhead) that I'm spoilt for choice - and they all seem to involve a disproportionate amount of work. Then there's reflection and autogenerated classes. *sigh*

Normally I wouldn't correct spelling, but it is dangerous in code - so: Withdrawl -> Withdrawal (unless you really are referring to those bloody Yankees).
