But they work just fine. I have one in my old workstation where I developed all my Oracle 8i stuffs. (Seagate SCSIs in there too :)

Just like Realtek ethernet chips: They're great value if you don't need balls-to-the-wall performance.

Nice thing about Realteks is that they're like WinModems, so a driver upgrade usually cures any bugs :)
