"Politically correct" is generally considered to be a putdown. "Culturally sensitive" comes across as a more neutral phrase. These two phrases aren't interchangeable - I would hate to see PC dropped from the lexicon - sometimes people _are_ too sensitive about cultural niceties. If I said you were being "culturally sensitive" about something, I would be implying that you have properly taken into account the various sensibilities to be found in a multicultural society. If I said you were being "politically correct", you would have cause to get your back up.
